U.S. citizens need only a tourist card and some form of photo identification to enter Mexico. The card is obtained from immigration officials at the airport once proof of citizenship is presented. A certified copy of a birth certificate, a valid passport or military I.D. all serve as suitable proof of U.S. citizenship.

Money
American dollars are widely accepted in Los Cabos. Most restaurants, stores and hotels list prices in U.S. dollars. Check with your travel agent for the most current exchange rate.

Activities
Los Cabos is Mexico’s number-one golf resort destination. The Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol, a Jack Nicklaus Signature course, boasts seven holes overlooking the Sea of Cortés. A second championship layout, a Tom Weiskopf design, is scheduled to open winter 2002. At build out, Cabo del Sol will have four courses. Los Cabos currently has a total of seven championship golf courses.

Sport Fishing: Los Cabos is often referred to as the “Marlin Capital of the World.” Record-breaking numbers of marlin and swordfish ranging in size from 100 pounds to well over half a ton are taken from its waters every year. Blue and black marlin season runs from June through December, striped marlin are plentiful year-round, and sailfish are taken April through October.

Eco-tours: The region’s abundant opportunities to observe wildlife include whale watching, snorkeling, bird watching, hikes through canyons and arroyos, mountain bike tours and kayaking.

Water sports: Scuba diving, surfing, snorkeling, parasailing, wind surfing, water skiing, sailing.

Equestrian: Horseback riding along the beach, equestrian centers, desert day trips.

Desert tours: ATV (all-terrain vehicles) and walking tours through the picturesque desert.

Spas & Fitness: Many hotels have full service European-style spas with state-of-the-art exercise facilities.
